چکیده

In this paper a model for fuzzy SBM of efficiency in DEA is presented based on a-cuts of the fuzzy number parameters to convert fuzzy linear programming problem to an interval programming problem. Then, by introducing a variable in each of the obtained intervals and applying suitable substitutions, a linear programming problem would be achieved. To demonstrate the concept, numerical examples are solved and solutions are compared with Jahanshahloo et al. (Applied Mathematics and Computation 156, 175-187).

A new fuzzy network slacks-based DEA model for evaluating performance of supply chains with reverse logistics

Supply chain performance evaluation problems are complex problems with multiple criteria and multi-layered internal linking activities. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has been used to evaluate the relative performance of organizational units called Decision Making Units (DMUs). However, the conventional DEA models cannot take into account the complex nature of supply chains with internal linki...

A concept of fuzzy input mix-efficiency in fuzzy DEA and its application in banking sector

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a linear programming based non-parametric technique for evaluating the relative efficiency of homogeneous decision making units (DMUs) on the basis of multiple inputs and multiple outputs. There exist radial and non-radial models in DEA. Radial models only deal with proportional changes of inputs/outputs and neglect the input/output slacks. On the other hand, ...

Using fuzzy super-efficiency slack-based measure data envelopment analysis to evaluate Taiwan's commercial bank efficiency

Data envelopment analysis (DEA) mainly utilizes envelopment technology to replace production function in microeconomics. The input and output of decision making units (DMUs) are projected into the attributes to evaluate or measure their performance. However, if the inputs and outputs are linguistically termed or are fuzzy-numbered, conventional DEA can not easily measure the performance. Theref...

The Position of Multiobjective Programming Methods in Fuzzy Data Envelopment Analysis

Traditional Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) models evaluate the efficiency of decision making units (DMUs) with common crisp input and output data. However, the data in real applications are often imprecise or ambiguous. This paper transforms fuzzy fractional DEA model constructed using fuzzy arithmetic, into the conventional crisp model. This transformation is performed considering the goal pr...

Network DEA: A Modified Non-radial Approach

DEA is a non-parametric and linear programming based technique that attempts to maximize a decision making unit’s (DMUs) relative efficiency, expressed as a ratio of outputs to inputs, by comparing a particular unit’s efficiency with the performance of a group of similar DMUs that are delivering the same service. The traditional DEA models treat DMUs as black boxes whose internal structure is i...
